Prize of GRÜN Software Group
Superior victory for Lilly Marie Collin
These two are the measure of all things in the junior class: Lilly Marie Collin and Famous K FRH ride to the top of the rankings with a new personal best.
A proud 74.069 percent was displayed on the scoreboard as Lilly Marie Collin and her nine-year-old Finest offspring Famous K FRH left the arena in the Christmas-decorated Albert-Vahle-Arena. "I'm so proud of my horse," said the 17-year-old, paying tribute to the performance of her sporting partner, with whom she has been a team for three years. And the spectators of the Prize of GRÜN Software Group in the arena today were able to marvel at how perfectly the two of them work together. Standing in a light contact, the Hanoverian-bred stallion responded to the fine aids of his rider and completed the required lessons with playful ease. The well-deserved reward: a new personal best, which put the pair in the lead of the junior class.
Denmark's Clara Cordes Arnkjaer once again took second place today. The 17-year-old, who finished fifth in the freestyle final at this year's European Junior Championships in Opglabbeek, Belgium, scored 70.882 percent in the saddle on her 12-year-old chestnut mare Brianna. Third place went to Martha-Sophia Pickers from the Rhineland with her 14-year-old gelding Ferri Rousseau, who was also rewarded with a score above the 70 per cent mark (70.784%). Tomorrow the decision will be made in the WOTAX-Prize for the title of the Junior Champion 2024 presented by UVEX. And Lilly Marie Collin knows only too well what it feels like to take the lap of honour with the coveted sash: last year she triumphed in the pony riders' class. Will she now be able to achieve the same feat in the juniors? The five-time European pony rider champion has certainly set the course for this with her victories in the first two competitions. "Now I'm looking forward to our freestyle," says the young Rhinelander, "and hope that everything will work out for us."
