Lilly Marie Collin in a class of her own
The well-deserved winner's smile in the 1st classification of the juniors belonged to Lilly Marie Collin from the Rhineland.
A proud smile flitted across Lilly Marie Collin's face as she turned onto the final centre line. And rightly so! The five-time European Pony Champion, who crowned her pony time with the title of Indoor Champion at the Aachen Dressage Youngstars last year, has arrived in the junior age group. And how! In the saddle of the nine-year-old Finest offspring Famous K FRH, the 17-year-old conjured up a harmonious and technically fault-free test in the Aachen sand. ‘I'm really happy,’ said the young up-and-coming rider immediately after the festive prize-giving ceremony in the festively decorated Albert-Vahle-Arena, while she patted her sport partner on the neck in appreciation. ‘My horse gave me a really good feeling in the test today.’ And this good feeling was also reflected in the jury's assessment, which rewarded the pair's performance with a proud 73.232 percent.
Lilly Marie Collin thus relegated Clara Cordes Arnkjaer from Denmark to second place. The 17-year-old, who finished fifth in the freestyle final at this year's European Junior Championships in Opglabbeek, Belgium, scored 71.616 percent in the saddle on her 12-year-old chestnut mare Brianna. The German rider Clara Paschertz also achieved a result above the magical 70 percent mark in the saddle on For Gold OLD. Particularly remarkable: the 17-year-old and the 10-year-old Franziskus FRH son, who previously caused a furore in the advanced class under his owner Stefanie Viehoff-Wolf, have only known each other for a few weeks. That's what you call a ‘perfect match’.
