Prize of Family Hans-Peter Simons
Fantastic freestyle: Celestine Kindler wins the Prize of Family Hans-Peter Simons with Quotenkönig
Celestine Kindler and Quotenkönig put the perfect finishing touches to the third competition for young riders. The podium in the international starting field remains in German hands
The odds for a victory for the pair were really not that bad. The pair had already delivered fantastic performances on the previous days of the Aachen Dressage Youngstars. In the freestyle, however, the Bavarian Champion went even better with her 15-year-old Quarterback offspring. With a personal best of 74.717 %, the pair secured victory in the Prize of Family Hans-Peter Simons, the 3rd competition for young riders. ‘This is amazing. I never expected this and I'm just so proud of us both,’ says the overjoyed 20-year-old.
The rest of the podium also remained entirely in German hands on Saturday evening. Second place went to Maike Springmeier and Sempre Meo with 73.533 %, followed closely behind in third place by Lena Merkt and Sarotti Mocca-Sahne with 73.500 %.
Alix von Borries received a very special honour. With a great deal of finesse, she delivered the most consistent performance with her Feingefühl over the three days and was delighted to receive the title of Young Riders' Indoor Champion powered by UVEX.
