Stefanie Viehoff-Wolf wins the Prize of KL Invest
This year, the opening round of the Aachen Dressage Youngstars belonged to the young horses for the first time. Stefanie Viehoff-Wolf from Westphalia won the national dressage competition S* with the nine-year-old Shakira M.
It was a premiere that took place early on Thursday morning in the festively decorated Albert-Vahle-Arena. For the first time this year, the four-legged youngsters will also be in the centre of attention as part of the Aachen Dressage Youngstars. Two national dressage competitions, S* and S***, will offer top riders of all age groups the opportunity to showcase their future hopes in the very special setting of Aachen. ‘It really is a great opportunity to be able to present our young horses in this atmosphere,’ said Stefanie Viehoff-Wolf from ZRFV Albachten e. V., praising the new competition concept, that other well-known riders besides herself knew how to take advantage of in its premiere year.
Stefanie Viehoff-Wolf had tacked up her Blue Hors St. Schufro for the dressage competition S*, which was reserved for seven to nine-year-old horses. And she not only completed the required movements in an expressive and lightly reined-in manner, but also with great confidence. ‘She showed great concentration,’ said the 40-year-old, delighted with the performance of her highly sensitive sport partner, who was rewarded with 71.151 per cent by the international jury. Austria's Manuel Springhetti with Selectric (70.00 %) and Kristina Konings from the Rhineland with Florent O (68.651 %) completed the top three in the Prize of KL Invest.
