Second Victory for Isla Sully in the WOTAX-Prize
With 74.792 per cent, the British rider wins the junior freestyle with Vagabond de Massa and also secures the title of Junior Champion presented by UVEX.
Katharina Zajic was already well ahead with 74.183 per cent, but Isla Sully withstood the pressure without any problems: she steered her 14-year-old gelding smoothly through the arena, and the judges awarded almost 75 per cent for her harmonious freestyle in the end.
A narrow victory for the 15-year-old from Glastonbury, who had already won the gold ribbon yesterday in the second junior competition, the GRÜN Software Group Prize. On top of that, he was awarded the title of Junior Champion presented by UVEX today.
"I'm so impressed by him, he means so much to me and is truly a unique horse," enthused the winner about her Vagabond de Massa. For the freestyle, Isla Sully and her trainer opted for a selection from the James Bond repertoire, as the music perfectly matches Vagabond's character and movements.
"It's just great to win here. The decorated hall and the whole atmosphere, it's indescribable." Her debut at the Aachen Dressage Youngstars could hardly have gone any better.
Behind the Austrian Katharina Zajic and Fidelio (74.183 per cent), the German Carolina Miesner and Livy H finished in third place with 73.767 per cent.
