Surprising double victory at the prize of federal promotion of children dressage sports
Esmae Niessen and Dadona Diva opened the 1st competition in the Children class, the Prize of federal promotion of children dressage sports, at the Aachen Dressage Youngstars 2023. It seemed as if nobody could beat their performance of an impressive 75.750 per cent until the penultimate starter, Greta Louise Wagner with her Fashion Rose, rode into the dressage arena and also took first place.
It was a special moment for the 13-year-old Dutch rider Esmae Niessen, as it was her debut in Aachen: "A great show, even if it wasn't our best competition because we were both very tense, I am incredibly happy about the success."
German national champion Greta Louise Wagner and her 6-year-old mare were just as surprised as they were delighted with their victory: "It was incredible, we hadn't even expected to place. But she was so lovely and now I'm even happier."
Third-placed local rider Lynn Greven on Sergio was congratulated on her 74.450%, but not quite on winning, but on another great performance.
