Emma Caecilia Lienert wins in the Prize of family Hans-Peter Simons
The first beaming smile of victory at this year's Aachen Dressage Youngstars flitted across Emma Caecilia Lienert's lips. Behind the 20-year-old, Theresa Nabbefeld and Emma Elise Nielen completed the German podium.
Emma Caecilia Lienert and the 14-year-old KWPN gelding Express have only been a couple since April of this year. However, you couldn't see this young partnership on the first day of the Aachen Dressage Youngstars. The 20-year-old and the imposing chestnut completed the required tasks confidently and with great expression and came top of the 22-strong field with 71.667 percent. "Express is a very special horse for me," said Emma Caecilia Lienert. "He always gives his best and was really great to ride in this impressive arena." If the rider has her way, she would like this feeling to be repeated in the coming days, and she is looking forward to one moment in particular. Tomorrow evening, she will be awarded the "Goldenes Reitabzeichen“ in the Christmassy atmosphere of the Albert-Vahle-Halle. "It will be emotional," says Emma Caecilia Lienert, who knows who she has to thank for this very special award - her Express!
