Jana Lang is once again the first winner at the Aachen Dressage Youngstars
In 2021, the winner of the Prize of Family Hans-Peter Simons was Jana Lang. And the same is true again this year. The smile on the 19-year-old’s face was just slightly bigger this time.
“I am simply overjoyed,” the young German dressage rider stated. “Winning once in Aachen is already inconceivable, but actually being able to repeat this victory is simply incredible.” Her partner on the way to the renewed triumph was again her long-time companion, Baron, who already carried the young rider from Bavaria to team gold at the European Championships in Hartpury (GBR) earlier this year. “Baron is a real showman. He always strives to give his very best in the dressage ring. And the atmosphere in this wonderfully decorated indoor arena seems to have pushed him even further,” said a delighted Jana Lang about the performance of her 16-year-old Glock's Johnson son, which was rewarded with a score of 71.765 % and the golden rosette. Close behind them in second place came the German rider, Moritz Treffinger and Treffinger's Superstition OLD (GER/71.421%). The pair took part in the CHIO Aachen CAMPUS’ Programme of Excellence last year. Paul Jöbstl from Austria, a current participant of this year’s Programme of Excellence, finished third with his sports partner Bodyguard (71.275%).
