The Aachen Dressage Youngstars (November 28th-December 1st, 2019) is being extended to include a competition in the age group Children. From 2019 onwards, the Final of the “Children Youngstars Cup presented by Hengsthaltung Kemper GmbH” (Stallion Station Kemper) will be staged in Aachen. The class is being staged as a tri-country competition that is open to riders from Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. The shows in Hünxe, Borken and Verden will be the qualifiers for the aspiring young German talents.
“It is fantastic that the organisers in Aachen are offering the young talents this opportunity,” said the delighted German Youth Trainer, Heidi van Thiel, “because this class closes a gap”. She added that it is important for children to gain experience by riding tests at competitions. Furthermore, according to Mrs. van Thiel, Aachen is a special highlight because it allows an early comparison of the performances between the German and the traditionally strong Dutch and Belgium dressage riders: “This is very good for the national trainers,” said Heidi van Thiel.
Hengsthaltung Kemper GmbH is supporting the new competition series. “Today, children are often taller than in the past, which means many of them have difficulties riding ponies,” said Ernst Kemper. “This is why children’s competitions on full-sized horses are an ideal introduction to the Juniors and Young Rider classes.”
The riders of the age group “Children“ are aged between 12 and 14 and they compete on full-sized horses. “We are not only gladly accommodating the request of the Association with this addition to the Aachen Dressage Youngstars, but also demonstrates our ever-increasing commitment to the youth,” said Frank Kemperman, Chairman of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein (ALRV), organisers of the event. Details on the competition as well as the terms of participation will be available soon here.
